Something different

tu jan 9 2007

The knittingclub has been away for a while, because of the never ending sunshine and December heat, busy studies, job applications and travels abroad. However, we are certainly not giving up on knitting! Even more, our most hardcore knitter did just have a photoshoot for a national newspaper, with knitting needles ofcourse! We will keep you informed on this moment of fame!

We are wishing all knitters and knittsters a knittful newyear! May the needles tick like crazy and many beautiful things be created! A great year as well for non- and anti-knitters.

2th anual world wide knit in public day!
10th june 2006.

fr june 2 2006
Many knitters have no problem knitting in public, but others aren't quite so into it.  The idea is that even if you're knitting alone on a park bench somewhere, you're not really alone, there's hundreds of knitters doing the exact same thing at the same time. This is a way to help knitters feel good about their hobby, and maybe introduce more people to the craft. Last year there were groups all around the world who participated in this day. It's voluntary, so how you celebrate is up to you.

Introduction & beginning of the breiclub

do 19 jan 2006
Once upon a time when the world was cold and dark (one reason being winter announcing itself) 5 sunny shining girls found each other in a common passion. The art of knitting! Once a week they shut themselves out from the outside world to exchange patterns, knitting knowledge, woolwisdom and ways of holding the needles. Some of them are even brave enough to go further than that and risk themself in the art of crochetting.
